NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026 Concludes with Over 180,000 Visitors and 53 New Vehicle Debuts

The second edition of the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026 has concluded on August 16 drawing more than 180,000 visitors over its six-day run at Bhrikutimandap Exhibition Ground in Kathmandu.

Organized by the Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA), the expo was formally inaugurated on August 11 and brought together more than 55 automotive and mobility brands from Nepal and international markets. NAIMA had initially expected around 150,000 visitors during the six-day event.

More than 30,000 visitors attended the expo on its final day. The opening day recorded around 29,000 visitors, followed by 26,000 on the second day, 22,000 on the third day, 31,000 on the fourth day and more than 42,000 visitors on Saturday.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, NAIMA President Ritu Singh Vaidya said the participation of more than 55 brands, over 180,000 visitors and the unveiling of 53 new products were among the major achievements of the second edition of the expo.

She described the event as a collective success for Nepal's entire mobility industry rather than the achievement of any single organization or individual. According to Vaidya, the expo was designed not only as a platform for showcasing vehicles and technologies but also as a forum for knowledge-sharing and learning.

"More than 180,000 people visiting the expo is the biggest encouragement for a young organization like NAIMA," she said, adding that the successful conclusion of the event marks "not the end, but the beginning" of NAIMA's ambitions for future editions.

NAIMA Board Member Cabinet Shrestha also described the strong visitor turnout as a positive sign for the country's automotive industry, while Auto Show Planning Committee Chairman Gaurav Sharda said the expo performed significantly better than the organizers had anticipated.

According to Sharda, the event generated higher-than-expected footfall, enquiries and bookings. NAIMA Strategy and Membership Affairs Committee Chairman Akash Golchha summed up the response to the event in a single word: "Superhit."

NAIMA Executive Director Raj Kumar Dulal said the expo strengthened its concept through a broader exhibition, learning sessions, greater collaboration and demand-driven management. He added that visitor satisfaction remained the key measure of the expo's success.

The second edition of the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo witnessed a significant number of new vehicle debuts and market introductions, further establishing the event as an important platform for new automotive products in Nepal.

The expo also featured a wide range of electric cars, hybrid vehicles, motorcycles, scooters, commercial vehicles, automotive technologies and mobility solutions, reflecting the growing diversification of Nepal's automotive market.

Among the new debuts and showcases were the Tata Punch EV facelift and new Tiago, Nissan Tekton, Arcfox T1, Toyota Hilux, Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Electric, Chery Q, Updated BYD Atto series, BAIC BJ30, Wuling Eksion, Wuling Darion, Proton eMAS Series, Wuling Mini EV, Hongqi E-HS4, GWM Haval Jolion MAX EV, and River Indie.

Similarly, Ultraviolette X47Mahindra XEV 9S,BGauss OowahJSW MG Majestor, TVS Ntorq 150, TVS RTX 300 and TVS X, Denza B5, Bajaj Chetak C2501 and C3503, Hyundai Venue facelift and Venue N Line, MG U9, Kove motorcycles, ZXMoto 500F and ZXMoto 802RR, and Triumph Speed T4, also made their Nepal debut alongside numerous other vehicle showcases.

The expo also featured knowledge-sharing sessions covering key mobility issues, including AI and automotive technology, battery recycling, finance and insurance, mobility trends, talent and entrepreneurship, and foreign investment in Nepal’s automotive sector.

With more than 180,000 visitors, over 55 participating brands and 53 new product debuts, the second NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo has concluded as one of Nepal's largest automotive and mobility exhibitions, highlighting the industry's growing shift toward electric mobility, connected technologies, new energy vehicles and technology-driven transportation solutions.
